For some reason, Lent this year already is an uphill process. It has only been one full week since Ash Wednesday. I feel as if I am in the grip of something out of my control. I am struggling to get a handle on what I believe will be a major change in my life. Not a matter of if, but when. I shared this with a friend. My heart is being captivated in a way that hasn’t happened in this way since I first attended Mass. It is a growing sense of destiny, such as guided me through RCIA and into the Catholic Church. I actually know what I need to do, but the actual doing will be amazingly difficult.
